About this event

  • 5 hours

The event will commence with a gentle and compassionate trauma-informed yoga practice, led by experienced instructor Janet Kendrick. Janet is trained in trauma-sensitive approaches. Through intentional movement, breathwork, and mindfulness, participants will be guided to explore gentle stretches and postures designed to release tension, promote relaxation, and cultivate a sense of grounding and resilience within the body.

A complimentary light lunch and refreshments will be served.

After lunch, we will transition into the workshop portion. As part of our commitment to education and advocacy, a presentation will be delivered by knowledgeable facilitators from Pace Centre, shedding light on the prevalence of sexual violence, its impact on survivors, and avenues for support and healing.

Next, through informative dialogue we aim to foster understanding, empathy, and solidarity within our community with a sharing circle.

This will be followed by a guided meditation session to end the day, offering participants an opportunity to deepen their connection with themselves and their inner healing resources.

Admission is free of charge!

Please bring a blanket and water, and your own yoga mat if you wish to do so - however, we will have yoga mats provided! We hope to see you on May 26th!
